Hi! Pam here today on the Gypsy Soul Laser Cuts Blog! I created a beautiful "Friends Heart Tray" to give to a friend. The Mini Display Tray Heart along with some pretty paper makes a wonderful gift anytime of the year to give to someone special.

Begin by applying Boss Gloss or VersaMark to the top of the Mini Display Tray Heart; sprinkle with embossing powder. Heat set with embossing gun.

Adhere pattern paper to inside of Mini Display Tray Heart. Adhere Doilies to inside of Mini Display Tray Heart and to outside of heart. Glue embossed tray heart to top of prepared base heart.

Fussy cut flowers, sentiment and butterflies from pattern paper. Adhere to inside and top of Mini Display Tray Heart along with metal lock and key.

Add fussy cut pieces to top with pop dots. Make bow and add to Mini Display Tray Heart.

Finish by adding a "Friend" sentiment from pattern paper to finish your "Friends Heart Tray". I hope you have enjoyed my special heart project and look at all the fabulous chipboard pieces available in the Gypsy Soul Laser Cuts Store. Pam

"Be Mine" Card by Pam Bray

Hi everyone!!! Pam here today on the Gypsy Soul Laser Cuts Blog today! I created a fun embossed Valentine Card today using lots of our fabulous Gypsy Soul Laser Cuts Chipboard!

I began by first distressing pattern paper and card stock and adhering it to a square card base.

Paint the Steampunk Hearts with distress paint; dry. Cut pattern paper to place on one side of the Steampunk Hearts; add washi tape around the edge of the pattern paper. Using Boss Gloss apply over the painted parts of the heart; emboss with embossing powder. Carefully remove the washi tape.

Carefully apply Metallic Lustre to top of emboss Steampunk Heart.

Adhere to top of pattern paper.

Add Doily to top of prepared card front.

Embossed smaller Steampunk Heart with pink Valentine embossing powder.

Carefully apply Metallic Lustre to top of embossed Steampunk Heart. Adhere to top of pattern paper.

Paint Flowers with distress paint; dry. Layer the flowers together secure with brad; bend Flowers up with tweezers to form Flowers.

Adhere Steampunk Heart to front of prepared card base.  Add prepared Flowers on card front.

Apply embossing powder to "Be Mine" Steampunk Heart; adhere to front of card. Add violin charm.

Make and add bow to front of card.

I hope I have encouraged to make a few Valentine cards or other projects using Gypsy Soul Laser Cuts Chippies. Make sure to check out the Gypsy Soul Laser Cuts Store to check more chipboard products that are available. Thanks so much again for stopping by today. Hugs Pam

Heritage Layout by Lynne

A while back my aunt passed her collection of old family photos on to me and I've gradually been scrapping them and adding them to my heritage albums. This photo shows my great-great grandparents. He came over from Cork, Ireland during the Potato Famine in the 1850s as a young man. She was French and born in this area.
I chose to create a heritage page this week so I could feature one of the gorgeous vintage lampposts from the Gypsy Soul store. I think they're so elegant and make a fabulous focal point to a page. This is the large Double Lamp Post. I painted it with acrylic paint then used Ranger crackle finish in Rock Candy before rubbing it with moss green and dark grey inks. The flames were created by blending alcohol inks on clear acrylics. After they were dried I cut them out and layered them using the jagged edges for a fiery look.

The whole layout was made using the Kaisercraft Rustic Harmony paper collection; the florals were perfect for fussy cutting and layering and then adding a couple of the smaller Ornate Doilies from the store just finished the flower clusters off perfectly with an added vintage touch.

I added some stenciling with my beloved texture paste and a few random sprays and spatters of olive green mist to pull the colours together and voila...another entry in the store of my family!

Thanks ever so much for visiting and I hope you're able to find some happy creative time for yourself in the coming week!

Botanical Sympathy Card

Hello, Friends!  It's Kathy here, and I'm so happy to be sharing another project with you as a guest designer.  While I don't have a tutorial, I do have some great tips for working with chipboard titles and laser cut doilies.

This 5" x 7" sympathy card is made with Graphic 45's Botanicabella Deluxe Collector's Edition.  I kept fussing with all the layers, but the card just wasn't coming together for me. I liked all the elements, but the composition just wasn't working.   Then I remembered that I had a package of Words & Phrases I in my chippie stash.
Adding this elegant chipboard title was the key to making this composition work.  I painted the chipboard with Black Soot Distress ink, and sprinkled it with Stampendous Aged Black Embossing Enamel while the paint was still wet.  In no time flat the chipboard was transformed into a thing of beauty.

I think it looks like metal, and I love the dimension that embossing with enamel lends to chipboard.  I backed the title with paper from the collection, then trimmed away the excess. Magic!  I also cut a gorgeous GSL laser cut doily in half and tucked it behind my fussy cut bird.  This helped the image stand out from the background.  These are not currently in the shop, but Gina assures me that more are on the way, so keep your eyes open for them!

The interior of the card has a pocket with a hand made notecard.

I'm making this card for my cousin, and I wanted to tuck in some old family photos of her mom in with the card.  The pocket will keep them safe.

The lower half of the card has more paper layers and a hand stamped sentiment.

It never fails to amaze me how a little bit of chipboard can take a project from so-so to superb!  I hope I've shared some new ideas with you here today.  Thanks so much for letting me join you as guest designer.

Cheerio,
kathy

Mini Album by Heidi

Hello: Heidi here with another beautiful Gina's Designs Project.  I got this album from Gina along with the beautiful gate. The album has scalloped pages and wire bound. I did not really have anyone specific in mind but it had to be delicate and allow for some room for some pictures.

Here are some pictures of the inside of the album- all decked out using some of Gina's Designs.
