Layout by Donna and Cross Promotion Projects by the Craftsupplies1 Team

Hello Friends!  Today we have lots of inspiration to share.  First up we have our team member Donna sharing a gorgeous layout, and following that we are sharing more of the amazing October cross promotional projects created by the team at Craftsupplies1.

It's Donna here today to share a fall layout using one of Gina's beautiful flourished frames.
I wanted to keep this layout very simple because I wanted the gorgeous Flourished Frame - Bella to be the star of the show! It's a really beautiful design!

I prepared the chipboard frame with a coat of white gesso. I then painted it with Tattered Angels, Palm leaf, glitter paint. While still wet, I added pine needles and orange embossing powder.

I only glued the middle frame part down so that I could pull up and lightly twist up the leaves.

Thank you so, so much for stopping by Gina's and taking a look at my Fall layout!

And last but not least we have some fun and different projects from Ashley B. and Kristina O.

Ashley has stepped outside of the box creating these very cool canvas'. She has done them up in a shabby tea theme, with some of the tea string alongs, and alarm clock frame ups.  They would look amazing hanging in any kitchen or tea room!

On the right Kristina has altered one of our ATC shrines. We love the pretty in pink tones, which mix with some of the new fabric flowers that Craftsupplies1 has in stock.

A 12 x 12 Layout by Melissa

Hi everyone! Melissa here with a 12 x 12 mixed media layout for Gina's Chipboard Laser Designs.  I have titled this layout "Happy New Year".

This leaf frame is so beautifully designed.  When I saw it, I had to use it. I always enjoy trying different ways to decorate these little beauties. Here are the steps:

1. Apply gesso.
2. Apply green chalk ink.
3. Randomly stamp on Distress Inks in Vintage Photo, and Peeled Paint.
4. Sprinkle Utee on and heat.
5.The Utee hadn't stuck too well,on the left side, so I experimented by putting on a thick layer of Crackle Accent, on the left side.
6. Dry brush gold leaf ink lightly all over, leaving most of the green exposed.

Thanks for looking!

Today we have to great projects! First up is Melissa.

Hi everyone! Melissa here with two Christmas cards for Gina's Chipboard Laser Designs. I made these for the Christmas card swap with the other Design Team members.  These are two of the five cards that that I'll be swapping.

I first prepped the chipboard with gesso. The snowflakes at the upper right hand corners on both cards were coated with Crackle Accent, followed by a layer of silver ink. The snowflake at the bottom of the card on the right, has diamond Stickles on it. I also put the same stickles on the wing on the card at the left, and on the cut up snowflake on the same card.

Some of the flatback blue crystals are Swarovski
Some of the bling and pearl swirls are Prima

Next up is Angela with her alarm clock!

Hi, Angela here, I am very privileged to have been asked to do a couple of guest DT spots for Chocolate Baroque. I have a wonderful stamp set to work with and for my first project I have used a chipboard Alarm Clock from Gina's designs and the Autumn Poppy stamp sheet below.

I painted the clock with blue Cosmic Shimmer matte chalk paint then again with their crackle medium and finally used the pink matte chalk paint. I stamped and embossed the poppies onto the back of the clock and then used mica powders to paint the poppies and butterfly. I then assembled
the clock and added the flowers and butterfly.

Please do check out the blog over at Chocolate Baroque for more fabulous ideas using this stamp set.

Boo Wall Decor by Mary

Hello everyone! I have this fun Boo Wall Decor from Gina's Designs. I really enjoyed making this. I got to go from this,
to this!

I have it hanging on my front door. I need need to use some double sided tape to keep in place since the "corn stalks" became a little heavy.
The corn stalks were made by cutting twisted paper into strips. I used several distressed inks to color it: Vintage Photo, Walnut Stain, Mustard Seed, Scattered Straw, Dried Marigold, Spiced Marmalade, and Distressed Stain Wild Honey.

The ghosts, haunted house and candy were all fussy cut from a paper collection by Debbie Mumm. The ghosts were edged in Black Soot and the other pieces were edged in Walnut Stain.
I didn't have any web material so I had to improvise and used some poly batting - I kept pulling it apart until I got the look I wanted.
Thanks for stopping by the blog. Make sure you take a look at Gina's store for more fun Halloween and Fall items!

"Smitten" - A Layout by Melissa

Hi everyone! Melissa here with a 12 x 12 layout to share, which is also part of our October cross promotional for Gina's Chipboard Laser Designs, and Craftsupplies1.

I love the skeleton clock frame, and I tried to do it justice with my treatment. Here are the steps:

  • 1. Apply gesso
  • 2 .Paint on 3 layers of fresh cut grass Dylusions Ink . I diluted it, 3 parts ink to 1 part water.
  • 3. Black Sharpie to all edges to give more definition.
  • 4. Rub on silver mica powder over whole frame.
  • 5. Apply gold rub n buff to all the edges, allowing a lot of the black Sharpie to show.
  • 6. Dab on Bronze Distress Stickles in different places,  let dry.
  • 7. Paint on undiluted Pure Sunshine Dylusions ink over whole frame.
  • 8. Let the ink dry and rub on gold mica powder.
  • 9. Dry brush gold leafing ink onto the Stickles. There will be little flecks of the texture of the Stickles that you can dry brush paint on. Brush gently so as just to touch the flecks with paint.
  • 10. Put on little pieces of gold leaf all around the frame.
  • 11.Using a paint brush, apply a thick layer of Crackle Accents.

Even though this isn't a winter page I couldn't resist using the snowflake shape set.bI used some beautiful lace and metal from Craftsupplies 1. I lightly brushed on some Vintaj Metal Patina on the owl and butterflies. I gave the owl Swarovski pointed back crystals for eyes.

I accordion folded the black lace, and  secured it with a straight pin.

Thanks for looking!
