Fall Tags

Hi Everyone! It's Lisa here today I am sharing some tags I created for Gina's with the gorgeous fall chipboard designs!

I love the gate and pumpkin. Here I have used gesso and distress ink and stamping. Lots of layers with florals and hand dyed seam binding.

I like my tags to have a purpose beside looking beautiful. This one has one of Gina's glassine bags on the bag for a little treat!

Next up is this gorgeous Harvest chipboard. I used multiple inks and crackle to get this glassy effect! I love it!

I have a beautiful floral cluster on here and have layered in one of the little floral sprays from Tresors DeLuxe Etsy.

Finally I have a beautiful slightly grungy tag I created with the crow chipboard.

On this one I used gesso and stamped on the chipboard then inked the edges.

Star Mini Album by Lisa

Hey All! Happy July 1st to you! It's Lisa Novogrodski here and today I have one of Gina's "Star Mini Albums" to share with you.

Grab yourself a beverage and relax. There are a lot of sweet fun pages to view on this one. (you might want a munchie too)

For the cover I used a coat of gesso as my base. Then I hit it with the heat tool (not really hit it but you know what I mean) and then applied some Magical Micas. I let it dry for a bit and while still tacky but not wet I brushed crackle over it. The crackle smeared the coloring a bit and allowed it to shade and some of the gesso to peek through.

To the little stars I added Lindys Mists and Shimmerz sprays. 

I've also added some of Gina's Glassine bags to the pages of this album. I scored them in order to fold them then adhered. This leaves a little pocket to tuck things in and places to adhere photos or other small treasures.

Here is a little vintage 4th of July image I found. Sweet isn't it?

I thought it would be fun to create a little fold out page. I used a die cut from Bo Bunny, cut it in half and attached with a paper hinge.

I like to use die cuts as photo mats.

Soft layout by Rashida

Hi Gina's Designs fans!  Rashida up with you today to share  my layout using the Lamppost Set #2!

I wanted to keep the colors soft, so I used white acrylic paint on the lamppost and lined the pole and the  tops with pink pearls. Next I layered up the space behind the lamppost using handmade roses, white pearls and other items from my stash. The glassine bag tag holder was made from a previous Gina’s Designs Project. I made the tag inside the holder from my sticker stash. It reads : May your lives be filled with love and laughter. You can enjoy viewing more photo’s of this project on my blog.

Make it Manly: Cards by Lisa

Hi Everyone! It's Lisa here sharing some cards with you today. In honor of Fathers Day I have created two cards with a masculine feel.

I've used the Gears Shape Set and Glassine Bags on this card. I love the glassine bags. I have been using them a lot lately and love how great they work with a card. You can slip a gift card in there!

I inked up my glassine bag with Walnut Distress Ink for a vintage grungy look. The gears were covered in modeling paste then covered in Art Anthology for color and shimmer. I tucked some cheesecloth in there for a little softness and texture.

My next card has another masculine theme. I used the hand in the Steampunk 2 Shape Set. I love how pieces of the steampunk set work with this style card.

The chipboard had was painted with gesso then stamped and the edges were inked.

Gina has great chipboard shapes to enhance your cards and these are just perfect if you are thinking of making some masculine themed cards.

Tags and Glassine Bags Oh My! by Lisa

Hi Everyone! Today I am sharing some tags I created with the glassine bags from Gina's Designs. I have been inspired by the fabulous Melissa Phillips (LOVE her work)  and saw some glassine bags she had embossed and thought I would add that feature to my bags. This tag would make a beautiful gift as well as hold one. You could fit a gift card, jewelry, treats etc. in that little pocket.

I used a floral stamp with embossing ink and silver powder. The embossing looks fabulous on the glassine.

I cut my own tag and made it large about 10 x 5 1/2.

The white flowers were ones I had on hand and I added some white die cut leaves from crepe paper. I love the delicate look the lend. These Cardstock Doilies Set Intricate are from Gina's as well.

This is a little close up of the embossing. So many possibilities with these bags!

This tag was created with the Pink Paislee papers. I LOVE the colors here.

On this glassine bag I used a gold embossing powder with the same flower stamp.

I have added buttons, charms, lace and florals to enhance my tag.

Glassine Bag Mini Album by Monica

Hi everyone Monica here with Simply Monica and I am sharing a glassine bag project from Gina's designs.  These awesome bags come in 3 different sizes so they are perfect for almost anything.  I did something a little different and made my bags into a mini album but I used pieces from Gina's Shaped Edge Micro Mini album for inserts as well as the spine for the glassine bags.

 The front page has a bubble globe and I popped in some buttons

This page has an oval cut frame and you slide the photo down inside

This shows how the glassine bags are attached to a paper binding system and then adhered to one of the cuts from the Shaped Edge Mini.

Glassine Bags Gift Card Holders by Shanna

Good morning everyone Shanna here with a quick and fun new project to share using some new products carried at Gina's Designs. This week you will see the team focusing on using glassine bags for their projects or on their projects and today I used them for the base of my creations.

I made gift card holders out of the middle size bags. For this project and love how these turned out. I tried my hand at some washi tape as I have some but never use it. 

As you can see I just put a little not card in there for someone to write whatever they may and you can slip in a gift card as well.

I sprayed the doilies with Dylsuions sprays, painted the chipboard pieces with the new Distress Paints, and wrapped it all with washi tape and twine. It is a quick and simple project and great for quick gift giving!

Glassine Bags Tag and Pocket by Deann

Good morning all, Deann here with a quick and fun little project using the Glassine Bags from Gina's Designs. For my project, I made a tag and pocket using the largest glassine bag.

The first thing I did was to fold the bag up at the bottom and glued it in place to form a pocket to use for a gift card or a little note. Then I decorated the bag with ribbons, trim, Graphic 45 paper, and the free Bee Printable from Gina!

This is the tag out of the bag. I used the Graphic 45 paper, black board, a vintage bingo card, the  intricates dollies from Gina's and the bee printable. When I inked the doily with Black Soot, I did it on top of the bingo card to add another layer to the tag. When I make my bingo tags, I like to make a hanger out of ribbon. I used two mini cloths pins to attach the ribbon to the tag. On the cloths pins I attached a bow of seam binding to one and a paper rose to the other.

Endless Possibilities with Glassine Bags by Heidi

Hello everyone. Heidi here today with a little project that I did using Gina's glassine bags.  I will be honest with you all, when I first got these I had no idea what I would do with them. I thought they are little bags, what is up with that?  BUT...  now I tell you, I am having so much fun with these. They make great gift card holders alone or if you put them on the front of a card - a little holder for money or a card.  Alter them and put them together for a little book, the possibilities are endless. 

So this is the first one I made, it is a graduation card for the daughter of one of our friends that is graduating this weekend.  That little tab at the top is attached to a glassine bag which we tucked money into.  Perfect use for it don't you think?   I did decorate the front and back and the lace meets in the back and I attached my logo- didn't think to take a photo for you.  I figured the back needs to be complete.  Then there will be a little card that I will tuck in it with a little message.  I love this little sentiment because she has been so anxious to graduate!

Now this glassine bag will need to go to someone that enjoys sewing I think.  I love this G45 paper and just had to add some lace, doilies and buttons of course to go with the little Gina's Designs dressform.  The lace is from a stash that my mother gave me (on both glassine bags).   The little rosette is one that I made with some ribbon: they are really easy and go so well with the doilies. :) 

I hope that this has inspired you to pull out those glassine bags and if you don't have any stop over to Gina's and get you some along with the following supplies I used on mine.

Glassine Bag Mini Album by Marjolaine

Marjolaine here. In my last shipment of Gina's Designs I received some glassine bags and I had never heard of them before. I started thinking about what I could do with them and I thought they would make a really neat mini album. As it turns out I'm not the first person to think this, there's a few examples on Pinterest already!

I slipped a piece of patterned paper in each bag and will add some photos later. There's also some smaller bags where other trinkets can be added. The bags come in three sizes. Aren't they sweet!
