At this time of year there's no place on earth busier than the North
Pole. Santa's elves are frenetic--making toys, grooming reindeer and loading
the sleigh. However, those elves are so thoughtful that they still left
room in this altered album for your photographs and journal entries.
I am thrilled to be invited back for a second year as Gypsy Soul Laser
Cuts guest designer. My projects will be featured at Gypsy Soul Laser Cuts each
Wednesday in November. I hope you visit there and see my projects. I will
be especially grateful if you leave some love.
This
altered album, made from Gypsy Soul Laser Cuts Fairy Tale Castle Mini Album offers
peek-a-boo opportunities from front to back and back to front.
It also offers many three dimensional elements.
You can get the paper toys featured in this album from my Santa's
Workshop Collage Sheet.
Use the back of the tag in Santa's bag to write down memories.
Another tag came from the pages of an old Christmas book.

Of course the elves are also busy making sweets. You can see their tiny
peppermint candies stored inside a vintage tart tint.
The reindeer are "prancing" to go.
Pull out the tag to record your Christmas wishes.
The Basics of Making the North Pole Altered Album
This album has two key themes: toys and the colors pink and light
blue. If you page through the book from the front, you will see the
background papers feature lots of pink.
And if you look at the book from back to front, you will find the color
is predominantly blue.
To make the binding for the book. Cut X x X strips of sturdy black
cardstock and score the strips 1/4" from each outside edge. Glue the
hinges to the cardstock pages of the album before adding the background papers.
Add the background paper and then it is time for lots of fussy cutting
with a utility blade and scissors.
Ink the edge of each page with brown ink. After that, it is time to
decorate your album with a plethora of embellishments.
I hope your
November is off to a great start! Remember, July August September October Now is the
time to begin crafting for Christmas
