Tea Keeper Cottage

I do love to relax with a cup of tea in the afternoon and always keep a box of tea bags on my kitchen counter. When I saw the GSL Mini House Front Box  I knew I could make something a lot cuter to hold them.
The little open top house comes in five pieces, easily assembled using tacky glue. If you are inspired by this piece to make a little basket, it comes with holes on the sides where you can attach a handle.
The papers I chose to use are from Graphic 45's Botanical Tea collection (of course)!  One of my favorites.
I painted the base, edges and interior seams with a cream colored acrylic paint.
The interior papers were glued in place and a lovely saying from the collection's Herbal Infusion paper was adhered to the front piece.
I painted two of the GSL Petal Corners Minis in the same cream colored paint I used for the base.
They were glued into place on the front of the house with some pink flat back pearls to add a little bling. I also added a few resin and paper flowers to the peak of the roof.
Here's an action shot, much nicer than what I've been using.
 Thanks for stopping by!
