Create Banner by Guest Designer Pam Bray

 It
has been a fun filled August. I have had a wonderful time as Gina's
August Guest Designer sharing with you some of my creations using Gina's
Lasercut Designs. I love to "Create" so of course I had to use this
fabulous Create Banner as my last project for the month.

I began by running Create Banner pieces through my Xyron Creative Station, trimming off the excess Graphic 45 Ladies Diary paper and layering them together.

I like to place my chipboard pieces where  I would like them to end up.

and take photos of them so I can refer back...especially when I am using several different pieces.

I used DecoArt Inc Media Gesso and covered all of the pieces, allow them to dry.

Paint the leaves on the frames and feathery flourish using both DecoArt Media Yellow Green Light and Sap Green.

Paint the birds with DecoArt Naphithol Red,, allow them to dry. Paint over with a wash of DecoArt Media Burnt Sienna. Dry.

Do a wash of DecoArt Media Raw Sienna over all the pieces, dry.

Make a mix of DecoArt Utra-Matte Varnish, 3 parts Quinacridone Orange and 1 part Paynes Grey. Apply to top of all pieces, dry.

 Last,
apply DecoArt Inc Media Patina Green Antiquing Cream, allow it to dry.
Take a wet one or wet paper towel and whip off randomly to give that
antique look.

Place each of the chipboard pieces on the banner. (Refer to the photos)

Paper each of the letters with Graphic 45 Ladies Diary. Add to each banner.

Add gears to the Clockwork Penny Farthing.

I like adding pieces I have saved from other pieces...the birds came off the Birds on a Wire 1 die cut.

Add a few rose buds to the banner.

Along with a small calendar to go along with Gina's Lasercut Designs Honeycomb & Bees Medium Set.

Add the Bird in Ivy to one the banner along with the letter and a few more roses.

Add
random metals to some of the banners along with a few of Graphic 45
Ladies Diary embellishments. Hang the banner using clothespins and jute
to finish your Create Banner.

 I
want to say thank you to Gina for having me as her Guest Designer and
