"And the Stockings Were Hung..." Tag by Mary

Happy Monday! I have a fun Christmas
tag for you today. The tag is one of the three tags form the Chipboard
Decorative Tags X Large set. To give the wall a bricked look, I stenciled the tag with the Texture Sheet - Brick Wall using several of distressed inks. I cut a small
section from the bottom of tag and made a back box with it to simulate a
fireplace. The next time I come across a small branch, I will have to gather it for logs!

For the stockings, I painted them red, used ink on the edges and a cotton ball for the "fur" look. The middle stocking is stamped with a snowflake stamp.

Joy to the World - Christmas Decor by Lynne

Hi! Lynne here, hoping you're all feeling festive and enjoying your holiday preparations. I've been shopping, wrapping, and baking, but still love finding time to create in my scraproom!

I absolutely love this the elegant look of this Word Tree and definitely plan to order a couple to make as gifts for next Christmas. I waited a little too long this year....oops!

I painted the entire surface with a coppery gold acrylic paint, then stamped a script pattern with Versamark and heat embossed with Stampendous Aged Copper, which contains bits of verdigris along with the rich copper colour.

I added some bling here and there, small wrapped presents on the base, and a frothy ribbon in a shade to match the verdigris in the embossing powder.

I added a glittery copper-coloured star to finish it off; it looks so nice on my wall unit next to one of my nativity sets. Blessings to all of you this Christmas!

Lost in Thought

Hi everyone! Melissa here with a layout for Gina's Designs.

I think these chipboard pieces fit beautifully with the vintage theme of the page.

To decorate the chipboard, I first prepped all the pieces with gesso. On the leaf pieces I put green and brown watercolors over green chalk ink. I then topped them off with Distress Crackle Paint.

For the pink pieces, I put crackle paint over pink chalk ink. I rubbed in some brown chalk to define the cracks. The pink didn't show up much as much as I would have liked it to against the background, so I used pink Twinkling H20s to make the pieces darker. After that, I applied yellow, then purple H20s, letting each layer dry. I ended with another layer of crackle paint.

Book Box

Well good morning and good day to you all. I hope you are having a wonderful weekend so far!!!

Shanna here with a new creation to share with you that I created for Gina's Designs.She has these awesome Book Boxes in the store in three different sizes to choose from: Small Box, Medium Box, and Large Box.

I covered the book in some Graphic 45 papers and Petaloo flowers. The leafy clusters were first painted in gesso. Then they were painted with acrylic paint and given texture by using a heat gun to create bubbles.

Hello Friend 3D Card by Kim

Hi Friends, and happy Friday! Today I have a fun 3 dimensional card to share with you. I created this out of one of Gina's Doors and a 3 x 3 inch Bagatelle Box.

I used some of the Mirabelle paper to cover the door and the box, I just love the blue roses and the little bit of sparkle they have. I attached the Bagatelle Box on top of the door, after I painted and covered it with the same paper.

After the painting and papering was complete, it was time for the fun part, embellishing! I added some fun metal and resin pieces to the box along with my "hello friend" sentiment and a vintage doily and paper flowers. I framed the box with some of the Bella Mini Flourishes

The Door comes with several little styles of door knobs and plates. I embossed one of the door plates and added a button with a blue rose on it for the knob.

I then added some various flowers from my stash and a lovely glittery butterfly.

In these two photos you can see the lovely window that is in the door, I added lace behind it and a cool little lion head door knocker. For the back of the door, I papered it and added a "to and from" stamp for my sentiment which I will add before I send it to my friend.
