It was love at first sight
when I saw this layered butterfly by Gypsy Soul Laser Cuts.
Four layers of goodness!
Because I wanted the colors to be "true"
and not altered by the chipboard,
I painted each layer with white gesso.
Once the gesso was dry
one layer stayed white,
one layer was painted with
Special Effects Patina Paint
that has a bit of sand-like qualities to it,
one layer was painted with pink watercolor,
and the last layer was painted with gold acrylic.
I added a bottle with some beads insideand a Tim Holtz Memo Pin
stuck into the cork top.
It was finished off with a gold "pearl" from
Prima Marketing.
A leftover piece of Prima butterfly paper from another project
was used on the card front.
Thanks for reading through this post.
