Pins for Every Type of Valentine

The plan was to create an organization project.

But I don't feel much like organizing. I'd rather get romantical and look ahead to Valentine's Day.

So I came up with a slew of simply made pins to suit every Valentine.

I've used a variety of Punchelements for the bases. Not too long ago I scored a 1" round punch at the craft store so making these was super simple. Paint the base, add sparkle, add image/sentiment, embellish and finish off with a pin back!

I've made them to suit just about every Valentine. There's pink and sparkly for the romantic.

And something glittery and red for the saucy types. There's a "Go Away" pin for those who would rather be left alone.

And "I am crazy" for my buddy who says this is the reason she is single.

Want to make your own? You can download a sheet of the saucy and silly, nice and naughty sentiments below.

If you need a little more direction the video tutorial for creating these wee thing-a-ma-bobs can be found HERE.

Do Your Best Mini House

Hello lovelies out there. Shanna here with a new mini project to share!

I haven't played with any of the mini houses lately so I grabbed one and put it together!

I paint the house with some Prima Art Alchemy Acrylic Paint and added some microbes in for textures.

The bird cage got some gesso and then some VerDay treatment. I painted the punch element with the Art Alchemy Paint as well and then stamped on the circle while it was wet.

Using some cardboard to add dimension and then a Tom Holtz sticker on top for a sentiment.

The mini houses are to die for! I just love these things. There are 4 sizes in the store so go run and check them out!

Bright Artist Trading Block

Hey all you lovelies out there. Shanna here today with a little inspiration. I know everyone is so excited to share Halloween projects, however I just wanted to do something bright and colorful! (Weird I know!)

So I grabbed my last Artist Trading Block (ATB) and got to creating.

I used watercolor paper and did some stamping and inking and stenciling. Once my papers were ready I covered my block.
Then I continued decorating it. I inked the cardstock doily with Distress Ink and used Distress Paints on the knob, feet, and a Punchelement. Stacking each on each other. I love the contrast of bright colors.
The feet are dowel ends you can get at any craft store.
Then for the final piece to make the ATB pop out, I colored the bird with some distress paint and added a Tim Holtz small chat on the front which I thought was befitting of the ATB.

I do so hope you enjoyed my little creation. Make sure you keep coming back for more design team inspiration!
