Canning jars are used for many
things... preserving fruits and vegetables, holding pencils, storing
nuts and bolts and serving cocktails! With warm weather on it's way,
I was inspired to make a few ATC sized recipe cards using the GSL Mini Canning Jars.
For inside the jars, I selected a sheet
of DCWV Snack Stack scrapbook paper and found the perfect Basic Grey
Life of the Party paper to use for the straws.
The mini canning jars come in two
pieces. I painted both the jar outline and the lid overlay with a
base coat of white gesso.
The jar outline then got a coat of
Lumiere pearl white paint while the lid overlay got a coat of Martha
Stewart Glitter paint in Sugar Cube.
The DCWV paper I chose for the jar's
contents featured some glistening condensation droplets which I
accentuated with dots of Glossy Accents.
The background paper I chose was Bo
Bunny's Double Dot Vintage. I cut the paper to fit a GSL Chunky ATC Blank and inked the edges to give it a bit of
aging.
Here's the jar assembled. The mini
canning jar fits the ATC perfectly. I cut a few pieces of fruit from
the same Snack Stack paper pack and cut a few plastic sword cocktail
picks to fit the project.
The recipes were printed out and glued
into the back.
This was a simple and fun project. A
great way to share some favorite recipes!
