Tag #5

Hi everyone!  Leigh Ann here for Gypsy Soul Laser Cuts showing off a tag I made using a combination of different chipboard pieces and painting techniques.

I started by giving my tag a coat of white gesso.  When that was dry I used gel medium through a stencil and sprinkled it with mini art stones on the right side. The left side I added texture with modeling paste. I used Distress Oxide spray to give the background some color.

I cut the Art Deco Border into two smaller pieces and covered them with white gesso as well.  I took a piece from the Hinges set and embossed it with gold powder.  I then laid the pieces out for placement and glued them down. During the gluing process, I also added some cheesecloth and a piece of a paper flower.

Next, I added some wood veneer pieces that were coated in white gesso, the number 7 from the Faux Metal Number Plates, and a large white flower. I dry brushed the gold embossed piece and then number plate with white gesso to make everything blend together.

I used gel medium to add art stones to the cracks and crevices between elements. To color the tag I used the Oxide spray on the flower to give it a light blue color, and then added Gina K glitter gel in turquoise to make it sparkle. I also used Unicorn Hair sparks to highlight the flower. I added a few sparkletz as a finishing touch.

I hope you enjoyed this tutorial!  I used the following Gypsy Soul Laser Cuts products on this tag:
Faux Metal Number Plates
Art Deco Border & Corners
Hinges Shape Set
