Almost Three...Layout by Lynne

Hello there! Since my son's 24th birthday is the 17th of April, I decided to make a layout with one of my favourite photos from his childhood. I can't believe so much time has passed since this was taken....hmmm... funny, he's an adult now and I'm still 29-haha! Pretty soon my kids will be older than me (wink wink)

The outfit he was wearing was mostly dark green with some navy blue so I played that up on the chipboard accents. I dry embossed the heart then painted the heart and balloon with navy acrylic paint and then dabbed some dark green on top when the base was dry. I then rubbed on some gold pigment ink. I used the same process on the gear pieces, but painted them green and dabbed them with the navy blue before adding the ink.

I love that you can choose a wide variety of chipboard accents for your projects and then make them coordinate by finishing them with the same technique. Altered Valentine Tag with Gloria

Hello everyone! I am back again with another Gypsy Soul Laser Cuts tutorial. Valentine's Day is just around the corner, so I decided to create a large Valentine tag to share with you today. 

This tag is 8" x 4" and perfect to tie to a gift bag or attach to a box of chocolates. It is all pink and pretty! Perfect for saying, "I love you!"

To make this tag, gather up all things pink (see the supply list at the end of the post), and let's get started!

The tag is from the Tags in a Box Extra Tag Set. There are six large tags in the set and they match the Tags in a Box Display (which also comes with six tags). Select a tag and paint the edges with Ranger Picked Raspberry Distress Paint. Allow the paint to dry.

Trim text paper slightly smaller than the tag by trimming the paper to 7 7/8" x 3 7/8" and then using the top of the tag as a guide for trimming the tag shape. Use a hole punch to punch a hole at the top of the paper. Sponge edges with Picked Raspberry Distress Ink.

Paint the "you" heart from the Heart Words Set with Spun Sugar Distress Paint. Set aside to dry. Paint the "Love" word from the Words and Phrases 1 Set and a flourish from the Mini Flourishes Bella Set (not shown) with Picked Raspberry Distress Paint. Once the paint has dried on the word and flourish, cover the two items with Glossy Accents and allow to dry completely. 

Trim an image from decorative paper and mat with pink cardstock. Sponge the edges with Picked Raspberry Distress Ink. Use foam adhesive to attach the image to the top center of the tag.

Glue the "Love" word to the bottom center of the image. Use foam adhesive to attach the heart to the lower right edge pf the image, as shown.

Tie a large bow from polka dot grosgrain ribbon and glue to the top of the tag. Trim a small heart doily from the Cardstock Doily Set - Intricates in half. Sponge the edges of the doily with Picked Raspberry Distress Ink and tuck under the top left edge of the image. Glue a few pink flowers to the top of the doily.

Attach the mini Bella flourish to the right edge of the image and add pink flowers as shown.

Tie a bit of metallic string to a button and glue the button to the heart embellishment. Surround the heart with pink flowers as shown.

Give the tag to your favorite Valentine!

Mon Amour Banner by Pam Bray

Good morning love Gypsy Soul Laser Cuts Fans!!!! I am so excited to share that Gina has asked me to join the amazing Gypsy Soul Laser Cuts Design Team. I am so excited and had to just share the "love" I have for the amazing chippies that are available in the store!!!

I began my project by cutting 22 pieces of 2" x 12" pieces of scrap chipboard BUT.... if you need chipboard slats please contact Gina at Gypsy Soul Laser Cuts to get them.

Cut 17 pieces of pattern paper and apply adhesive to the back. (I used the Xyron Creative Station to apply my adhesive.) Apply pattern paper to top of chipboard slats, stagger and layer together. Adhere 5 chipboard slats to the back for support. (As above photo)

 Adhere pattern paper to top of each letter.

 Decorate with painted chipboard pieces.

 Adhere matching Mon Amour pieces to top of letters.

Add pattern paper to Heart Mini Display Frame. Paint top piece with carbon paint, allow to dry. 

Apply stickles to the top, allow to dry.

 Add pretty flowers to the letters and Heart Mini Display.

 Adhere more wonderful chippies to the Heart Mini Display.

 Adhere the Steampunk Doily Set to each of the pieces.

Place random gears to the top of each piece. 

 Adhere fun flowers using glue dots.

Fussy cut an image from the pattern paper, layer together with pop dots and place on letter "E".

 Add an image behind painted Heart Word chippy. Place pretty bows on each of the pieces.

How to Use Chipboard as Stencils

Pawprints On My Heart Layout

Hey everyone. Shanna here with a new layout I created. I realized I haven't scrapped my fur baby yet and thought to print out a photo and go for it.

I pulled out the title Pawprints On My Heart and gave it a coat of gesso. I wanted it to pop off the page so I left it white. 

I did one stencil and sprayed with with some mist. I also misted with a few other colors and gave the page some splatter. 

I added this cute little Heart Word and left that white with gesso just to give the page more pop. 

I love the gold behind the white. I hope you got some furry inspiration. Don't forget we also want to see you creations so don't forget to share them with us on the Facebook Group Page!
