Mon Amour Banner by Pam Bray

Good morning love Gypsy Soul Laser Cuts Fans!!!! I am so excited to share that Gina has asked me to join the amazing Gypsy Soul Laser Cuts Design Team. I am so excited and had to just share the "love" I have for the amazing chippies that are available in the store!!!
I began my project by cutting 22 pieces of 2" x 12" pieces of scrap chipboard BUT.... if you need chipboard slats please contact Gina at Gypsy Soul Laser Cuts to get them.
Cut 17 pieces of pattern paper and apply adhesive to the back. (I used the Xyron Creative Station to apply my adhesive.) Apply pattern paper to top of chipboard slats, stagger and layer together. Adhere 5 chipboard slats to the back for support. (As above photo)
Adhere pattern paper to top of each letter.
 Decorate with painted chipboard pieces.
Adhere matching Mon Amour pieces to top of letters.
Add pattern paper to Heart Mini Display Frame. Paint top piece with carbon paint, allow to dry.
Apply stickles to the top, allow to dry.
Add pretty flowers to the letters and Heart Mini Display.
Adhere more wonderful chippies to the Heart Mini Display.
Adhere the Steampunk Doily Set to each of the pieces.
Place random gears to the top of each piece.
Adhere fun flowers using glue dots.
Fussy cut an image from the pattern paper, layer together with pop dots and place on letter "E".
Add an image behind painted Heart Word chippy. Place pretty bows on each of the pieces.
I hope you have enjoyed my first inspiring Mon Amour Banner made with lots of love using Gypsy Soul Laser Cuts chipboard pieces. Make sure to check out the store...HERE!!!! Check today's blog for another project by Shanna!!!!
Until next time, Pam.

Boots Chaps and Cowboy Hats Western Wall Hanging

Hey there Paper Peeps! I'm dropping in to share a very Western inspired Wall Hanging. It's not my normal style....kind of a walk on the wild side...but I had so much fun altering the Gypsy Soul Laser Cut chippies and adding layers of patterned papers and embellishments.

Here's how I altered the Chipboard.....
With a small detail brush add a layer of Gesso to the chipboard. This Gesso I've used is canvas primer Gesso and it's just a bit thinner and won't get gummed up in the intricately cut areas.
Using dimensional Bisque colored  Liquid Pearls add detail to the Barbed Wire Frame. Add Dark Chocolate Liquid Pearls to the outside ring of the Dreamcatcher.
Add another layer of Gesso to the frame.  While I was working with the Gesso I added some to the fussy cut images.
Using a metallic silver paint cover the Barbed Wire Frame and 8 point stars.

Working in small sections add black acrylic paint and wipe away with a dry cloth leaving the shading in the dimensional areas.
Begin adding color to the center of the dreamcatcher with Spectrum Noir Markers.
Add shading by using a darker color of the marker leaving the center white.

Finish the Dreamcatcher with complimentary glitter glues. This will not only give a richer color...but also seal in the alcohol inks.   I've finished the feathers with the same steps as the Dreamcatcher shading with dark on top and blending to light. I finished the feather tips with a bit of flocking held on with the litter glue.
