Florentine Moon Triptych

I have always had an affinity with the night sky. The stars and moon make me swoon! And I've been especially inspired to make moony themed pieces recently, and this project is no exception.

The exterior is dark and moody. A Vintage Triptych "Florentine" is covered with paper from Graphic 45's Love Notes. 

The corners are adorned with Victorian Corners 2 which have been chopped in half to give a sort of hinge look. I've added a Hasp to the cover for a closure, and simply added the smallest of the Tudor Rose Singles to add a bit of decoration to the piece.

Inside I've relied on old paper and paint, and a bit of gold embossing powder.

Mice Like Candy, too.

Greetings! Lora here for the terrific Gypsy Soul Laser Cuts and Part Two of Mice Like Candy Too. Today I am going to do the do the four remaining tags.
In the picture below, you can see the top row is what I did a couple of weeks ago and the bottom row are the four I am going to chat about today.

Most of the elements are the same - the background color, candy jars, dots and flowers all help with cohesiveness and tie all the tags together, making them a set.

I began with cutting out all the bits and pieces I may (or may not) use. I wanted some different mice and these cute little fellows fit in with the look I was going for. (I darkened up their color so they would pop a bit more) I cut out a bunch of circles and various sweets and jars and played with the mix until I got layouts I liked....

I started gluing my layers on starting with what will be in the background-the circles.

With a little daub of glue at the bottom of the mouse, I attached him to where I wanted him on the jar and then glued the whole piece down and attached the number, adding dots after everything dried.

 Next, the ribbon was added and glitter was used for a sparkly bit of detail. The flower was glued on as the last thing.

Not a difficult project, but I think they are so cute. I decided that I did not want to make a banner of them as a friend of mine is having a little baby shower for her grand daughter and we are going to use them for place cards for the table. Now I have to make a 'few' more!

Happy Birthday Greeting Card

Hello there friends and crafty peeps! I'm so excited to share this project! Ive been holding on to this Posey Panel chippie for a long time now waiting for the perfect project to use it on. Today is the day!!!!

This background pattern is just so perfectly floral! I love the tone on tone textured effect I was able to create by finishing the chippie in the same color as the back ground paper.

I used the corners to lighten up the front of this card as it was looking a bit gloomy.

Since I've got flowers in the back ground I thought I'd add a few to the front too. Okay maybe more than a few. lol

A bit of cheesecloth tucked into the flowers softens and fills in the arrangement.

I've added a perfectly coordinated bow of wrinkle ribbon topped off with a second smaller bow of loopy twine then finished it off with a vintage button and metal charms.

A sentiment can be sweet and simple when stamped,  clipped out and added to cards.

All the chipboard was finished in a flat white acrylic paint.

I used a double sided adhesive tape to support the edges of the paper since the middle has the bulk of the chippie holding it up.

Valentine card

Hope your Christmas was full of blessings!  Cherry here at the Gypsy Soul Laser Cuts blog today.

Is it too soon to be thinking Valentines?  Not for me.

I have an easy card to share.   I covered the cardstock in one solid piece of pattern paper and layered it with this Deco Lattice Panel 1 painted with red paint.

 Than I simply wrapped with ribbons and tied a bow and added stamens.

After that I added my main image and surrounded it with flowers, more stamens, and these Victorian Corners 1 colored with a glitter marker.

Making Spirits Bright Shaker Card

Hello there Paper Peeps!  Well I'm still in full swing of my Christmas in July projects and where the last card I posted here was very modern.....this one is whimsical and cute. And it's a shaker card!!!

Isn't this just super fabby? I love that little car so much it was the inspiration for this project.

I'm obsessed lately with layering the chippies to create very unique and one of a kind frames and embellishments.

I am also obsessed with shaker cards.  There I said it. But then you all already knew that right? LOL

I chose very festive patterns for this fun card to coordinate with the tiny tree topped car,

Here's how I altered the chipboard...

1. Thoroughly  wipe down the chippies to prepare them for finishing. 2. Each piece was given a base coat of flat white acrylic paint and allowed to dry. 3. The Bead Strand pieces were painted in bright cherry red acrylic paint. 4. The snowflakes were given a coat of sparkly embossing powder and heat set. The Bead Strand pieces were topped with a layer of Stickles.

Quick and easy card

Hi everyone, Heather here today with a little birthday card that I am sure you will find very easy to make. I made this for my daughter in law in New Zealand and I know that she will like it because it is a simple, uncomplicated card. So I am hoping that you will want to have a go yourself.

First of all I chose which pieces I wanted to use and just because it says "corners" on the description on the site that doesn't mean that they have to be used as corners.Here are the Leafy corners and the victorian corners.

I have treated them with white gesso on both sides, I gesso the pieces on both sides when they are as small as these because it covers the piece better and you tend not to get any brown showing through. After the gesso had dried I went over everything with Creative expressions gilding polish, I used blossom as it was the nearest to the blush foundation card also by creative expressions that I used to make the frame around the card.

I cut the ends off the leafy corners so that I could place them on the card without actually making a definite frame. As you can see from the first picture I just made a pattern for the base, then cut two frames from white and blush creative expressions foundation card, the blush one underneath and white one on top leaving a small border on both inside and outside. Of course I could have used one of the fantastic frames already cut on the GSLCuts site. It is entirely up to you which way you do this.I always tend to think of something else that I could have done when I have finished something, but maybe I will do that next time.

I cut all three components from Sue Wilson pierced flags die with White on the bottom, blush in the middle and white on the top, also I stamped the top flag with my sentiment. Before I glued these together I glued one of the victorian corners to the largest flag, I thenglued the smallest flag to the middle one and glued another victorian corner to the top.
Before sticking all this together I made two bows, one in 1/2 inch ribbon and one in very narrow ribbon. I glued the bows to the bottom victorian corner, then glued the other corner combination on top  of the ribbons. I used a glue gun for this because I find that it sticks much stronger and stays in place.
That is my card done, I did say that it was very easy to do so I hope you will have a go yourselves but

"Ooh La La" Candy Treasure Chest by Pam Bray

Good morning my chipboard loving friends! I am so glad that you stopped by today to see my "Ooh La La" Candy Treasure Chest that I created using Gypsy Soul Laser Cuts Treasure Chest. It is extremely easy to recreate since I kept all the chipboard that I used to embellish in their nature state.

But, first.... start by adding card stock to the base of the Treasure Chest.

Attach sides to base using adhesive; hold together with small pieces of washi tape. Adhere pattern paper to inside of Treasure Chest.

Add pattern paper to outside of prepared Treasure Chest. Adhere small chipboard pieces to sides of Treasure Chest; adhere pattern paper strips to the chipboard strips.

Add beads to the bottom of Treasure Chest to form height and interest to the candy dish.

Adhere pattern paper to Treasure Chest lid.

Adhere Victorian Corners and Stackable Labels Shape Set to top of prepared Treasure Chest,

Add clear bead and bow to top of Treasure Chest.

Fill "Ooh La La" Treasure Chest with candy. Glue flowers and lock to top and sides of Treasure Chest.
