24 Drawer Storage Unit by Kim C

This weeks post I wanted to show a project that I am working on. I got this 24 drawer storage unit and LOVE IT!!!

Gina makes these organizational units so easy to put together and use. This unit took me only an hour to put together.   I started out thinking that I would just put it together and use it, but decided to decorate it up somewhat. The more I looked at it, the more I like it just with paper on the drawer fronts.  Distress ink was used on all the papers.

The unit is about 13 3/4 inches tall and 11 1/4 inches wide by 3 1/2 inches deep.  Each of the drawers are 3 1/4 x 3 1/4 x 1 3/8, making them a perfect size for all those little trinkets.

'Of Summer & Bees' Arched Top Triptych

Hi everyone! It's the first Friday of the month which means it's my turn to share a project and tutorial using some of Gina's faboo products. Here's what I'm sharing this month...

A mixed media homage to the coming days of summer, warmth and honey using the Triptych - Arch Top.

The bottom of this piece is embellished with three Faux Metal Number Plates which are flanked with some copper brads to give them a finished look.I've created some honey in the chipboard Honeycomb embellishment with glaze and a smidge of paint.And while there are some chipboard bees included in that set, I couldn't resist using this divinely detailed bee charm to top off the piece.

I've added a few teeny weeny buzzy things too.

And because everything looks better framed I've mounted my triptych in an 11 x 14" shadow box.

I'm not going to lie, this piece took a while to create. The process isn't exactly difficult, it's just time consuming to achieve the right look. HERE is a video tutorial of the process, but for time sake it's been edited to the bare bones. If I've missed something and you have any questions feel free to ask :)

24 Drawer Storage Unit by Kim

 Hi friends and happy Wednesday!

Now that we are on the other side of Christmas, its time to get reorganized and this amazing 24 drawer storage unit is one of the best ways to do it!

They are super easy to put together and take no time at all to decorate with your favorite paper and embellishments. I used Beacon 3 in 1 glue to put it together.

 

 My drawer unit will be in my craft room, so I needed some heavy duty handles on mine as I will be opening and closing the drawers often.   I chose some nice paper in the color tones of my room to back the metal pieces.

 This is actually my second 24 drawer unit I have, it holds so much, and as my crafty space grows, so does my need for storage.  The great thing about these storage units is that you can make it anyway you like it, it would be great to have in a powder room, or maybe make it into a jewelry box, or perhaps even to store dry herbs in your kitchen, the possibilities are endless!
