Christmas Cabinet

Happy Saturday, everyone! Connie here to share a pretty little china cabinet all decked out for the holidays.  We don't have a full sized cabinet to decorate so I enjoy making these in miniature to celebrate the season instead.
The base for this piece is a GSL Miniature China Cabinet. Here are the pieces just prior to assembly. It also comes with doors but I chose to set those aside for a future use so the shelves would all be open.
I used tacky glue to adhere the pieces together. Once the glue was dried, I painted it in a nice rich raw umber acrylic paint.
The back wall was papered in a pretty red and white Scandinavian print from BoBunny's Merry & Bright collection.
I love how this looks once glued in place. I added finial dowel cap legs painted in the same raw umber.
To decorate the top shelf, I painted a snowflake from the GSL Snowflake Shape Set in a silver paint to add some height to the top of the cabinet. In front of it are a few miniature snow covered bottle brush trees and a 'snowglobe' I made with polymer clay and some crystal glitter.
The middle shelf contains another GSL Snowflake as well as a glass peppermint bead set onto a silver bead base, a bottle of polymer clay cane slices, a glass peppermint candy, a tiny package and a miniature red jar candle.
The bottom shelf holds a tiny St. Nick porcelain statue, a jar of candy canes, a sweet little primitive snowman painting I made, some polymer clay cookies, a tiny Night Before Christmas, a teapot and another GSL Snowflake.
Happy Holidays, everyone!
