Harry Potter Shadowbox

Do you have a Harry Potter fan in your life? Doesn't everyone?? I have a quick and easy project that I imagine every single one of them would enjoy. Let me walk you through it.
I started with a GSL Open Front 4.5 x5.5 Shadowbox available over at Alpha Stamps.  I used a gold toned DCWV Glitzy Glitter paper for the interior and a sheet from the Harry Potter scrapbook kit by Paper Impressions for the exterior.
The shadowbox couldn't be any easier to put together using tacky glue as the adhesive.
Once assembled, I used gold acrylic paint in the corners of the interior before gluing the papers in.
The exterior edges got a dab of Brilliance Galaxy Gold ink once the papers were glued into place.
The same gold paint was used on the front edges of the box. From here on out all that was required was arranging and gluing in mini printed images associated with the books and movies.
To add in some three dimensional elements, I decided to make a few potion bottles. The pink coconut ice is nail decoration glitter, the skele-grow is just a mini bottle with ivory paint on the inside and the sherbert lemons are simply small bits of baked polymer clay.
The skele-grow has a mini skeleton bead glued on top. I use a lot of skeleton beads in my crafting. Here's tip for you. Take a bit of acrylic paint the same color of the skull and dab it into the bead hole to seal it. It may take a few coats to get it filled. Getting rid of that distracting beading hole is always an improvement.
In addition to the printed images and potion bottles I added a puffy lightning bolt sticker, a plastic spider, a snitch made from paper wings and the top of a gold paper fastener, some glow in the dark stars and a chocolate polymer clay frog.
 Thanks for stopping by!
