The Flower Garden . . .

Hi Gypsy Soul Laser Cut Fans.
Nancy here with a little garden project.

I began with this adorable

Isn't it adorable?

Wanting to give it a try, I changed the theme to a
garden theme and used a
bunch of little images I had on hand.

The box portion of the Matchbox Book
is mailed flat.

I used Picket Fence Distress Stain
and painted the seams before glueing together.

Also before creating the slider box,
I cut scrap paper the same size as each panel
without going over the seams
and
glued the paper to the inside.

Then I adhered the last seam to the inside of the box.
Done.

For the outside, I found a really pretty
bird paper I totally forgot I had.
Wrapped the box in that paper
and
added a piece of
as the front gate.

I used several coats of green & yellow paint
and then
topped it off with rust embossing powder.

The *stand* was made with two tiny flower pots
covered first in bronze acrylic paint
followed by
green & yellow paint
and stuck on moss.

The top slips off and reveals the booklet inside
made up of all tiny house shapes.

Here are some of the panels:

This next panel features some fussy cutting
used as a side pocket for my
*Damsel in Distress*

A little collage work:

and a piece of Wrought Iron Miniatures
used as a side pocket for this garden girl.

The sunflower centers were enhanced with
sead beads.

This blue bird must have his own crown.

Thanks for visiting with me today.
Hope you like the
as much as I loved working with it.
