Castle Dragon Corner by Jessica

As if you needed yet *another* reason to buy the Dragon Shape Set from GSLC, you can use them as stencils to make different sized rooms with fantabulous floors.

I used the largest of the winged dragons for the floor, which fit perfectly in this 7 x 7.5 x 8.5 corner.

This corner is built for a castle themed diorama/room box - designed for 1:12 scale and built from pink insulation foam.

I added an arched window to add a more medieval look to the corner.

This room took me a full week to build and the sound of pink foam now drives me crazy.

On the outside, you'll see even more brick! Brick and stones everywhere!

To add more dimension and pizzazz, I made the stone around the window a different colour.

Back view of the brick.

You could put a throne in there. Maybe some skulls. Tapestries, other medieval things.

As a bit of a hint - things like spray paint and wood stain melt styrofoam. This can be helpful when you're trying to make a dragon look like stone. But be careful and wear a mask, for reasons. Health reasons.

You can see here how the stain melted some of the dragon a little more than other areas. I really like how it turned out.

If you're interested in making your own medieval-themed corner room box, check out The Crafty Goblin's Blog for a photo-tutorial.
